Shaun Jarvis... another busy man

Always on the go, Shaun dropped me a line to let me know what he's been up to.

Its been hella busy here lately with us working hard on finishing the new Freestyle Now web site that will officially go live next week. We were off riding for a few hours today at the Concert Hall with Mike B & hoping to get out for a ride on Saturday with Chris (Buff) McDermott & Russ as well.

Last weekend Freestyle Now took the 9 hour drive out to Leonora for some demos 840kms North East from Perth. Crazy weekend - demos went off but the surface wasn't great. All good!

Down in the deep South...

Chris Letchford from Launceston, Tasmania is a busy man. With winter & the weather officially there & with a new addition to his family recently, he's not letting it slow him too much. Still getting out to session 3-4 times a week, he & a few others are also collecting footage from spots & different riders in Tasmania... stay tuned.

Simon O'brien update

Simon is currently over in Japan having a bit of a break. Here's a snippet of what he's been up to courtesy of the guys over at Colony...

OK, I arrived in Japan last Saturday and have so far been having a great time catching up with friends. My girl and Maja and Bashi, 2 street riders I have come to know pretty well from last years Disney gig. I just needed a break from home, having been so busy this year and just thought I’d get away for about 2 weeks. I’m staying in Tokyo or just outside the city in Chiba, pretty much an outer city suburb.

This is the first trip without my bike which is pretty surreal, it’s great not having to lug a big box around but I miss my bike! So been sight seeing a bit and generally just relaxing enjoying the food and what not. On Sunday I’m heading out to West Tokyo for a little street comp which should be fun to be at. I will get back to you on how that goes.

Its great to be over here with some warm weather compared to back home. That's about it so far. Sorry no pics. I will try and get some soon to you and an update on the street comp.

In other Simon O'brien news Fat Tony over at Ride US recently did an article about the Top 10 BMX Videos on YouTube. And you guessed - Simon's video featuring Adelaide's own Hilltop Hoods came in #1 with over 5 million hits... yep, you read that right.
